The Guinness World Records judge, Michael Emprik, validated Mirai's tank with a seal at both the beginning and end of the journey. The company says the Mirai consumed a total of 5.65 kg of hydrogen and logged an impressive 152 mpg with water as its only emissions. The Toyota Mirai overtook a total of 12 hydrogen stations during the entire journey without refueling. In two days of testing, it emitted zero kilograms of CO2, while a vehicle with a standard internal combustion engine would need to emit around 300 kilograms to cover the same distance.
