World Smile Day | Smile in Islam
World Smile Day was first celebrated in 1999 and started by Harvey Ball, the man who came up with the yellow smiley face symbol. He wanted to dedicate one day for acts of kindness, and to make people smile no matter what their religion was or where they come from.
Although World Smile Day is fairly new, the Holy Prophet of Islam would teach his followers that smiles were very important, so much so he said it was an act of charity! That means like when we donate money we may receive blessings, similarly, when we smile we might get blessings from Allah!
