Australia, UK & US form historic security partnership

Australia will acquire nuclear powered submarines as part of a new trilateral security partnership with the United States and United Kingdom. The Prime Minister says the federal government has dumped its 90 billion dollar submarine program with French company Naval Group. Instead the partnership will build a fleet of nuclear-powered submarines for the Royal Australian Navy, with building work to begin in Adelaide within the next decade.
