As Kabul gradually goes back to the more humdrum life following the caving in of the Ashraf Ghani government barely a month ago, the well-known Afghan women and children’s rights campaigner Mahbouba Seraj, determined to stay on in her country, is watching with a mixture of grave apprehensions and calibrated optimism. This is even as young Afghani women and girls protested on the streets of Kabul demanding their freedoms and condemning Pakistan for their support to the Taliban regime.
