Sydney’s COVID lockdown highlights income inequality in western suburbs

The division between Sydney’s eastern and western suburbs has been highlighted by the current COVID lockdown, with many residents in the west having lost their jobs, or unable to work from home. Rosanna Barbero, the CEO of Addison Road Community Centre has noticed a 20 percent rise in the demand for the organisation's Addi Road Food Pantry in Marrickville.
