Remastered version of 'Lapu Lapu The Opera' to be shown online | Newday

To commemorate the country's 123rd Independence day on Saturday.
The Earthday Jam Foundation will show online a remastered version of an iconic 1997 musical theater show.
'Lapu Lapu' explores the conflict that ensued between Filipino freedom fighter Lapu Lapu and Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan in the 1521 battle of Mactan told in a fusion of opera, classic, ethnic, and rock music.
