THE STING ♣ Then And Now After 48 Years ♣ Cast Real Name and Age
Bringing two giants from the cinema, Paul Newman and Robert Redford, The Sting, a 1973 film, shows the old archaic stigma of the "gambler" who has always pursued card games such as poker and its variations.
Even so, the film is fun and always good to see this duo that also makes the classic "Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid", 5 years before.
Newman left us several years ago, but his talent in films like The Sting will remain as long as there are cinemas, TV, streaming, and art and game lovers.
It's been 48 years, some have changed, others are gone. But the film stayed. Let's see how the actors and actresses of The Sting 1973 are doing.
Synopsis
Following the murder of a mutual friend, aspiring con man Johnny Hooker (Robert Redford) teams up with old pro Henry Gondorff (Paul Newman) to take revenge on the ruthless crime boss responsible, Doyle Lonnegan (Robert Shaw). Hooker and Gondorff set about implementing an elaborate scheme, one so crafty that Lonnegan won't even know he's been swindled. As their big con unfolds, however, things don't go according to plan, requiring some last-minute improvisation by the undaunted duo.
