A luxury floating hotel in Leith Docks overlooking Edinburgh's new film studio is to be turned into a concert venue for a global streaming event.
Hebridean band Skerryvore are to over a former west coast lighthouse ship berthed in Edinburgh's waterfront for a live show shortly before it reopens to the public
Their worldwide fanbase will also be taken on a virtual tour of the Royal Yacht Britannia as part of the collaboration with Fingal, which was previously based in Oban. The band will perform in the ballroom of the vessel, which costs upwards of £220 a cabin to stay in and has a Skerryvore suite which, like the band, is named after a lighthouse 11 miles off the coast of Tiree in the Outer Hebrides.
More than 7000 fans watched the band's previous event, which offered fans a virtual tour of Robert Burns' birthplace in Ayrshire.
