On December 08, a nine-member team of National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad visited Eluru town in West Godavari where many people have fallen sick with mystery illness. Scientist JJ Babu said, "We had collected blood and urine samples of patients. Now we're collecting samples of water, milk and vegetables." Over 150 patients were admitted at Eluru Govt Hospital with complaints of nausea, giddiness and epilepsy. Medical Superintendent, Dr AVR Mohan informed, “Number of cases reported at the hospital due to 'mystery' disease has gradually come down. There were 123 patients earlier today, now there are 77.
