Residents of Assam’s Numaligarh dug mud with bare hands to rescue an elephant calf stuck in the mire. After hours of joint efforts, the locals successfully managed to rescue the baby elephant. An elephant calf generally weighs between 90-120 kg. The calf is now being treated under the supervision of the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation And Conservation.
