Assam: Baby elephant stuck in a mud puddle - NewsX

Here is a story from Golpada district of Assam that will surely move you. Rescue operations are on to save a baby elephant who's got stuck in a mud pond in Manas national Park. And guess what two elephants have been pushed into service, for rescue job trying their best pull out the baby elephant. But their efforts so far haven't born fruit. The baby elephant is injured and tired and hungry...and will have to put in more effort and courage to be saved. Forest department officials and a veterinary doctor are also at the spot.... but it seems that it will take some time before the baby elephant is saved.
