R Suganthi of the village landed in trouble allegedly after she was engaged in verbal abuse as shown by the TikTok video. Her Tik Tok video went viral on social media in the recent past. After learning about it, women in large numbers laid siege to the Palanichettipatti police station on Thursday demanding the police to expel two women, including Suganthi and her friend Nagajothi. The agitated women claimed that these two women brought shame to the village and should not be allowed to reside at the village based on a complaint from the local villagers, the police made an inquiry entry in the Community Service Register (CSR). Moreover, those women were counseled not to indulge in any such act further this issue has become viral on social media.
Moody's on Tuesday lowered the growth forecast for the Asia-Pacific (Apac) region to 5.2 percent for 2020 citing the lingering impact of the coronavirus outbreak in China, the impact of which will be more pronounced on China and India. The coronavirus that emerged in China early January has killed over 1,860 people and infected more than 72,000 so far and there is no end in sight yet. The epidemic has forced China to shutter over a dozen of its teeming cities, locking up over 60 million people and closing down tens of thousands of factories, impacting the global supply chain.
