610

Texas & Pacific 2-10-4 number 610 was built by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1927 for the Texas and Pacific Railroad, hauling both passengers and freight on the line until 1951 when she retired. She was later donated to the Will Rogers Memorial Center where she sat on display ever since. In 1976, the 610 was restored into operating condition for the use of hauling the American Freedom Train before being leased to the Southern Railway a year later for excursion runs. After only six years on the Southern Railway, she was eventually retired again and return to her Texas home rails after her last run. Today this locomotive is on current display at the Texas State Railroad, and it's very unlikely she'll ever be restored to operating condition again due to her instability, size and weight would most likely be a epidemic as before.
