Karela or Bitter Gourd is an extremely nutritious vegetable that is also used for medicinal purposes.. it is said that Karela helps in reducing blood sugar levels, removing bad cholesterol, cleansing liver, helps in weight loss, boosting immunity, etc.
Most of the people do not like bitter gourd because of its bitter taste.. However, our recipe shows how to make Karele ki sabji / Stuffed Bitter Gourd at home without any bitterness in taste and using minimum possible quantity of oil to keep your diet healthy.
Ingredients:
1. Bitter Gourd / Karela (1/2 kg)
2. Turmeric powder / Haldi - 1 teaspoon
3. Salt / Namak - 1 teaspoon
4. Red Chilly powder / Lal Mirch powder - 1 teaspoon
5. Coriander powder / Dhaniya powder - 2 teaspoons
6. Fennel Seeds powder / Saunf powder - 2 teaspoons
7. Mustard Oil / Sarson ka tel - 2 Tablespoons
8. Green chilies / Hari mirch - 2 Qty.
9. Ginger / Adarak - Small Qty.
10. Raw Mango / Aami - 1 Qty.
11. Extra Salt (keep separately)
