Dr. Abdullah Al-Musnad, a professor of meteorology at Qasim University, said it is rare for Muslims to have more than 30 fasts during a solar year. However, 2030 will be the year when the world of Islam will observe 36 fasts instead of 30. This is because the duration of the lunar year is 11 days shorter than the solar year. That is why during each solar year, Ramadan and the other lunar months begin eleven days earlier than the previous year. Dr. Al-Musnad has stated through his Twitter account that Ramadan will come twice in 2030. Ramadan 5, 1451 AH will begin on January 5, 2030. Whose fast is likely to be 30. Ramadan will return in the last month of December 2030. According to Dr. Al-Musnad, the first fast of Ramadan (1452 AH) will begin again on December 26, 2030. Thus, from December 26 to December 31, Muslims will be blessed to observe six days of Ramadan. The rest of the fasts will end in the last days of January in the first month of the next solar year 2031. In this regard, the world of Islam will have a rare opportunity to observe 36 fasts during 2030.
