Holashtak 2020 : होलाष्टक कब से लगेगा ? होलाष्टक में 8 दिनों तक नहीं होते शुभ कार्य | Boldsky

In the scriptures, the period from Falgun Shukla Ashtami to Holika Dahan is called Holashtak. It is forbidden to do auspicious works eight days before Holi in astrology. These eight days before Holi are called Holashtak. This year Holashtak is starting from 03 March which will last till the day of Holika Dahan (9 March). It is believed that on the very beginning of Holashtak, Lord Shiva had consumed Kamdev. Every day different planets are in fiery form during this period. Therefore do not do auspicious work in Holashtak but can do the work done after birth and death. Know what should not be done in these eight days.

होली से पहले अगर आप शुभ कार्य आदि की योजना बना रहे हैं तो यह महीना बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। इस महीने में इन शुभ कार्यों को जरूर निपटा लें। दरअसल, मार्च के पहले ही हफ्ते में होलाष्टक की भी शुरुआत हो रही है। होली से पहले ये आठ दिनों का समय अशुभ माना गया है। इसलिए इस अवधि में शुभ कार्य करने की मनाही होती है। रंगों का त्योहार होली मौज मस्ती का प्रतीक है।
