Toto Wolff underlined his determination to keep six-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes, during a media event in London on Monday that presented chemical producer INEOS as the team's new principal sponsors.
Mercedes have dominated F1 in the recent years, claiming six consecutive drivers' and constructors' world titles, but Lewis Hamilton, who has won five of those six drivers' titles, will be out of contract at the end of the coming season.
Wolf is hopeful of agreeing a contract extension with Hamilton, who is reportedly a target for rivals Ferrari.
April's Chinese Grand Prix was also discussed on Monday, with F1 yet to decide whether to cancel the race in the wake of the Coronavirus.
Hamilton and team-mate Valterri Bottas will unveil Mercedes' 2020 challenger on Friday before heading to Spain, which will host pre-season testing from 19th February.
