The great support system at Yashoda Hospitals really helped me while removing foreign body by Fluoroscopy-Guided Endoscopy. Thanks to Dr. Hari Kishan Gonuguntla and Yashoda Hospitals.
From Doctor:
We presenting a very complicated case of foreign body aspiration in a 11 year old kid. This kid actually playing with pin in mouth, he had a sneezing episode and during this episode this pin accidentally went into in his windpipe that is called trachea and from there it slowly slipped down into his bronchi into his lungs. He was afraid to inform his parents and this pin was lying in his bronchi for almost two years.
We removed this pin using a procedure called fluoroscopy guided bronchoscopic removal. We used flexible bronchoscope of 4mm and then initially we were able to see it on the fluoroscopy though we were not able to see on bronchoscope. We were able to save him from undergoing a major surgery and bronchoscopically we are successfully in doing the procedure.
