林其中，20歲從軍任鄉勇，咸豐4年(西元1854年)隨霧峰林文察前往中國，協助平亂屢建戰績，為傳說中臺I山莊頤養天年。
摘星山莊，是台灣十大民宅之首，建於清同治10年(西元1871年)，花了9年完工。
摘星山莊被認為是目前保存最為完整，且形制宏偉、極具研究價值的古厝。

Lin Puzhi, the ancestor of the Zhaixing Villa, came to Taiwan and settled in Dapu Village (now Dafeng Village) near Tanziyu. At first he only rented land for farming and business, until Sun Tzulin was among them. In 4 years of Xianfeng (1854 AD), he went to China with Wufeng Linwencha to assist in the establishment of peace and chaos, and was one of the eighteenth elders in the legendary Taiwan's aid to the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. In the 2nd year of Tongzhi (1863 AD), the Dai Chaochun incident occurred, and he returned to Taiwan to assist with the army. He later retired and built the Zhaixing Villa to support him.
Zhaixing Villa is the first of the top ten residential houses in Taiwan. It was built in the 10th year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1871 AD) and took 9 years to complete.
