Casting a Mushroom with Brass

The live mushroom is first cast with plaster. The plaster mold is then dried and the mushroom remnants are removed in very tedious process of drying, washing, picking, vacuuming, then repeating that several times. Then the brass is poured into the plaster mold to create the final cast.
