Village damaged by Typhoon Kammuri in The Philippines

Typhoon Kammuri continues battering homes in the Philippines on Tuesday (December 3).
Footage shows trees being blown down by the wind and rain in Oriental Mindoro at around 3pm local time.
The storm made landfall in the northeastern part of the country on Monday evening (December 2). The Philippines weather bureau said that the typhoon continues to be powerful despite hitting land over Bicol region. Heavy rains are still expected in the Eastern parts of Luzon, the Philippines' largest island.
The typhoon has prompted the cancellation of airline flights and classes in several areas. The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will be closed today (December 3) due to the typhoon. Around 480 flights were affected by the closure.
Several houses across Luzon have been damaged especially structures near coastal areas. At least 160,000 people in the Bicol region have been displaced due to Tisoy and many are still staying in evacuation centers said the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
The latest forecast expects Tisoy to leave the Philippines by Thursday (December 5). Typhoon Kammuri has brought torrential weather to the eastern part of the Philippines since last Sunday (December 1) affecting some of the sporting events in the 30th Southeast Asian Games held in the country.
The SEA Games organisers have already canceled the windsurfing heats while the women's triathlon on December 1 took advantage of the good weather.
