In traditional glove making, gloves are table cut by hand, one pair at a time. The cutters prepare the leather 24 hours before by soaking and stretching it skin by skin and piece by piece. The utmost attention is paid to the leather’s quality, grain and stretching properties. The cutter’s skills, knowledge and touch are essential in manufacturing a pair of well fitting handmade leather gloves of exceptional beauty.
These images have been filmed in 2019, in Hungary, one of the few European countries where very skilled glove makers can still be found working in the leather accessories industry.
