In-depth: Global market wrap-up

It's time now on this Friday for an in-depth look at the markets this past week.
And for that, I'm joined by Dr. Song Sooyoung, professor of business at Chung-Ang University.
Dr. Song, thank you for coming on today.
Thank you.
Yesterday we saw the U.S. Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 25 basis points. Why did they do it, what does it mean, and how in your view is the American economy doing?
Now we get to see whether the Bank of Korea is going to follow suit and cut rates next month. How likely do you think that is, and how much might they cut by?
It's now been about three weeks since Japan took Korea off its whitelist of trusted trading partners. How has this, in practice, changed trade between the two sides and what damage will it do to Japan in particular?
Alright, Dr. Song. Great to have you on today.
We appreciate your insights.
