Corn Pakoda is a simple and crispy sweetcorn based fritters or pakora prepared mainly with chickpea flour and rice flour. It can be eaten as a side dish while having your dal rice for lunch or it can be a perfect evening snack with a cup of masala chai.
Ingredients:
(Serves 4)
- 1 cup Corn(boiled & crushed)
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tbsp Ginger(finely chopped)
- Green Chilli(chopped)
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 2 tbsp Corn(boiled)
- 2 tbsp Rice Flour
- 1/2 cup Gram Flour
- Salt
- Water
Method:
1. Take 1cup boiled corn. Reserve 2 tbsp corn and crush the remaining corn
2. Put the crushed corn in a large bowl and add cumin seeds, finely chopped ginger, green chilli, coriander powder, red chilli powder, boiled corn, rice flour, gram flour and salt on it
3. Mix all of this together
4. Now add a little water to the mixture and mix it again
5. Once the batter is ready, heat oil in the pan and start putting little pieces from the batter, into it
6. Fry them on a medium to high heat, till they turn golden brown
7. Do the same with the remaining batter
8. Once made, take it out and serve it hot with tomato sauce or chutney
