Over One Billion Are Now
Using Google Photos The photo sharing service was launched in May 2015. Less than half a year after its debut, over 100 million were using Photos. The storage service then passed 500 million in 2017. Photos is now the ninth service from Google to reach the one billion plateau. Other products include Gmail, YouTube and Google Maps. The accomplishment for Google Photos comes soon after the premiere of its new edition, Gallery Go. The team behind both products believe Gallery Go will help Photos reach two billion users faster than it did one billion.
