Marmalade Gin Recipe | Good Housekeeping UK

Transform your flavoured gin with this marmalade gin recipe. All you need is gin, marmalade, bay leaves and orange zest.

Ingredients
250 g (9oz) good-quality marmalade
750 ml (1 ¼ pint) gin
3 fresh bay leaves
3 strips orange zest, pared with a peeler, any pith removed

Directions
Put the marmalade into a sterilised 1 litre (1¾ pint) glass Kilner-type jar. Pour in the gin, add the bay leaves and orange zest, and stir well. Seal. Set aside in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks for the flavour to develop.

Strain through a sieve lined with kitchen towel or muslin into a large, clean jug, then use a funnel to decant into sterilised bottles.

Label and tie with ribbon.

TO SERVE Put plenty of ice cubes into a tumbler, add 1 x 25ml (1fl oz) measure of gin, a slice of orange
and a bay leaf, top up with chilled tonic and stir well.
