One week later, Preity Zinta arrives to give statements

Bollywood actor Preity Zinta who had lodged a complaint against her former boyfriend Ness Wadia accusing him of intimidation and molestation at the Wankhede stadium on May 30th, arrived in the city on Sunday morning.

After lodging the complaint through her lawyer earlier this month, the actress had left for the USA. But with her initial statement lacking many details of the incident, the police wanted Ms. Zinta to record her subsequent statement in the case.

The police will also conduct a spot panchanama along with independent witnesses. The statement will be recorded by an Assistant Commissioner of Police rank officer in presence of a junior female police officer.

"The statement can be recorded at her residence or a hotel or at the police station. The decision will be taken in tandem by the investigating officer and the complainant," Additional Commissioner of Police, Krishna Prakash told
