'Chaiwala' Modi invites JNU dhabawala to his swearing-in

A 41-year-old dhaba owner from Jawaharlal Nehru University was among the lucky ones to attend the swearing-in ceremony of India's 15th Prime Minister Narendra Modi, also famously called a chaiwala.
But Shahzad Ibrahimi is not just a regular dhabawala. The man, who runs the 'Mamu Dhaba' on JNU campus, holds a doctorate from the prestigious university.
"It is not a normal thing for a chaiwala to become the PM. He called another chai-wala to witness the ceremony and I am overwhelmed by it. I am very happy. I met him today for the first time and I wish him all the best," said Ibrahimi, who students affectionately address as 'mamu'.
The owner of the dhaba, which is situated near the administrative clock of JNU, pursued MA, then went on to finish M.Phil and finally finished his PhD from the university.
Ibrahimi, a resident of Sheikhpura in Bihar, got the invite after a leader of Rashtriya Lok Samata Party- BJP's ally in Bihar-shared his profile with Modi's office and requested an invite for him.
This is not the first time that Ibrahimi has hogged the media limelight.
