Lok Sabha election: Electoral test in Uttar Pradesh's riot belt

Polling for 91 seats in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections began at brisk pace across the country on Thursday, with Kerala recording 27% turnout in the first three hours.

Voting picked up in 10 constituencies including riot-hit Muzaffarnagar in western Uttar Pradesh.

Polling was peaceful in Muzaffarnagar. Early trends have raised hopes of a high turnout.
