Beant Singh's killer Rajoana honoured by Akal Takht - NewsX

Akal Takht, the highest temporal seat of Sikhs has decided to honour Balwant Singh Rajoana, one of the co-accused in former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh's assassination case, on June 6, 28th anniversary of Operation Bluestar. Rajoana, is currently facing death sentence and lodged in Patiala Central Jail. He had hit the headlines when his execution date was fixed March 31 by Sessions court Chandigarh. Later, his execution was put hold by President Pratbiha Patil following protests in Punjab and request of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
