Beant Singh killing: Centre stays Balwant Singh's hanging - NewsX

Centre has stayed hanging of Balwant Singh Rajoana, assassin of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh. Punjab govt cited law and order problem in the state over Rajoana's execution. Punjab Chief Minsiter Parkash Singh Badal had met President Pratibha Patil over the issue. Balwant Singh Rajoana was to be hanged on March 31.
