Josie refuses all offers of treatment for a fatal brain tumour, forcing Geoff to impose a mental health order. When Josie accuses him of projecting his pain and guilt over the death of his wife onto her, Geoff embarks on a journey of acceptance and letting go. Jack has a job keeping the disorderly Carbine and Phar Lap Cochrane out of the Crossing.
