A massive bushfire has set the district alight. Dr Standish moves the bush clinic closer to the front line but suffers severs burns to both hands while rescuing a firefighter from an overturned vehicle. Dr Radcliffe is called to a nearby property when a woman collapses as the fire front approaches. She needs urgent treatment but Geoff cannot operate because of his injuries. Although not qualified to perform surgery, David steps in under Geoff’s expert tutelage.
