Over 25% of Americans Have Deleted the Facebook App In the Past Year The Pew Research Center says 26% of Americans have deleted the Facebook app from their phone in the last year. The results come from a survey Pew conducted in May and June with over
4,500 American adults. Pew adds that 54% of respondents have also adjusted their privacy settings. Meanwhile, 42% have taken a break from checking Facebook for several weeks
or more. Facebook faced controversy this year when it was revealed the company Cambridge Analytica used personal data to manipulate U.S. and British voters. Since then, it has faced a series of controversies about misinformation and manipulation on its platform.
