More than 200 were arrested as police uncovered knives and other offensive weapons from revelers at Notting Hill Carnival, local media reported on August 27.

This video, filmed at about 8 pm, shows a parked police vehicle and a number of officers on standby.

The Met Taskforce confiscated 16 knives on Sunday and over 30 weapons, including a metal pole and a taser, on Monday. Incidences of police officer assault, drink driving and drug use were also reported.

Police sent a large presence over the weekend and Monday following violence in previous years. An estimated one million people are believed to have attended the carnival, which saw the public in colorful costumes and high spirits despite the heavy downpours on Sunday.
