Let's now get a check on what's happening with the typhoon from our weathercaster, Lee Jee-hyun who's standing by at the weather center.
So Jee-hyun, the typhoon seems to be moving out into the East Sea at the moment.... but I hear eastern areas of Gangwon-do Province are still on high alert?
You are right. As we can see on our radar, Typhoon Soulik has almost moved out from the peninsula, but those in the eastern parts of Gangwon-do Province will see moderate to heavy showers until the evening, while strong winds of up to 20 meters per second, or 70 kilometers per hour, are expected.
Seoul is not likely to be impacted by the typhoon, winds will be calmer than expected. Meanwhile, the typhoon continues to move in a northeasterly direction and it's forecast to dissipate before tomorrow afternoon.
But still, typhoon warnings remain in place in parts of Gangwon-do Province, with advisories for parts of Gyeongsang-do Province. The typhoon alerts have been lifted for the rest of the nation.
The amount of precipitation has decreased except for in the eastern regions of Gangwon-do Province. Seoul will see light showers into the evening.
Daily highs will range from 29 to 33 degrees Celsius, and the entire nation will have calm weather by the evening.
That's all for now,...back to you Jiyoon in the studio.
