2분기 승용차 수출 6.9% 줄어…3분기 연속 감소세

Seoul's exports of passenger cars in second quarter dropped 6-point-9 percent compared to a year earlier… mainly due to low demand from Washington.
According to the Korea Customs Service, the amount in Q2 was 9-point-6 billion U.S. dollars... equivalent to a total of 640-thousand vehicles.
It's the third straight quarter that figure has fallen on-year.
Exports to the States were down 14-point-7 percent.
There was also a fall in shipments to Central and South America… but that's because many South Korean automakers have built their own local factories there.
Meanwhile... car imports increased in the same period by 18-point-7 percent last year.
