Pine marten snatched three eggs laid by osprey

This is the moment a hungry pine marten snatched three eggs laid by a nature reserve's most successful breeding female osprey. The eggs, laid by osprey EJ in April, had failed to hatch at the RSPB's Loch Garten reserve near Grantown on Spey, Moray. Staff the site said the cheeky pine marten wouldn't have enjoyed the "rotten eggs" -- which they thought may have fermented and exploded over time. After stealing the eggs the marten sprayed its scent in the nest. EJ had to leave the nest to fish after her male partner failed to provide food for her while she sat at the nest.
