Glasgow it proving that modern art is pants -- literally -- as it holds host to a very different kind of exhibition. The city's Tramway arts centre is hosting a peculiar exhibition by artist Amanda Ross-Ho, in which 25 pairs of giant pants are hanging, with their pockets out, on a wall. The exhibition, called Untitled Period Piece, presents a new body of work inspired in part by Charlie Chaplin’s political comedy ’Modern Times’, made in 1936 during the great global recession. The installation takes the form of a factory floor dedicated to the production of the oversized garments, which stand at around six feet tall and four feet wide. The exhibition is Ross-Ho’s first solo exhibition in the United Kingdom and will run Tuesday to Friday from 12pm to 5pm and 12pm-6pm on the weekends.
