Pensioner stunned after finding fiver missing The Queen's head

A pensioner was left stunned when he withdrew a £5 note only to discover it was missing - the QUEEN'S HEAD. Ray Harris, 80, noticed the fiver he got from his building society did not include the image of Her Maj on the small silver oval next to Big Ben. When he examined the note more closely he realised a Bank of England printing machine must have slipped over that section of the note. The dad-of-one now believes he either has a unique note which might be worth more than its face value but it also worried that it might not count as legal tender.
