Former showjumper keeping Motor Neurone Disease at bay with gym and protein shakes

When Darrell Wright, 53, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, he was told by doctors to go home and rest.
But after two years and watching his legs whither away, Darrell decided he was going to do something about it. Now Darrell goes to the gym three times a week and takes protein supplements twice a day. He said: "You feel like your life's about to end, you're given three to five years as a standard, it's just the worst news you can ever hear.
