A coroner yesterday accused a mother and her lover of the death of a tragic toddler

Little Sam Harry, aged 19 months, suffered brain damage similar to someone in a high-speed car crash and medics believe he was probably subjected to 'an inflicted injury'. He was found unconscious at the home he shared with Deanne Buffham, 28, and lover Ryan Bate, 23, and died in hospital four days later. Police said one of them was responsible for his death but the CPS has not prosecuted either of them as they both blamed each other. Sam's natural dad Nick Harry, 30, is now calling on the CPS to change its mind. Miss Buffham and Mr Bate were repeatedly asked if they killed or hurt Sam during the inquest into his death but a coroner said they gave 'flawed accounts'.
