Kray twins' former prison opened to public for consultation on development

A prison which has held 25 judicial executions could be turned into a home for the elderly after developers have invited suggestions from the public. The imposing stone building in Shepton Mallet, Somerset which once held lifers was purchased by developers City and Country. The company, which renovates period properties into housing, said the consultation was "an excellent opportunity" for people to give their views on how to regenerate the site.
