Police are driving down vehicle crime by using high-tech traps to catch crooks that cruise the streets looking for in-car goodies. Previously unseen footage released by West Midlands Police shows thieves unwittingly breaking into police 'capture cars' -- vehicles fitted with hidden cameras and sensors which alert officers when intruders strike. The footage will be shown on BBC1 tomorrow morning (March 20, 11am) in the latest Caught Red Handed programme which shows ingenious ways West Midlands Police are trapping offenders and cutting crime.
