Miracle escape as mum and toddler are hit by car

This is the shocking moment a woman driving instructor and her three-year-old nephew are flung across the street in a horrific hit-and-run - but incredibly escape UNHARMED. West Midlands Police have released CCTV footage of the crash which shows the 42-year-old woman and the tot being ploughed into by a speeding Audi driver. Astonishingly, despite being hurled 10ft into the air and landing in a heap in the middle of the road, the pair escape with just minor cuts and bruises. The hit-and-run happened as the woman and her nephew left the Sky Blue Fish Bar in Hillfields, Coventry, at 7.30pm on December 7.
