Trump Says He'd Speak To Mueller If He's 'Treated Fairly'

President Trump on Friday said he'd speak with Robert Mueller if he's "treated fairly."

President Trump on Friday told reporters that he'd be willing to sit down for an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller, who's investigating Russia's interference in US elections. However, he said that he has concerns about being "treated fairly."
"You have a group of investigators, and they say that I am not a target," Trump said. "But you have a group of investigators that are all Democrats...Bob Mueller worked for Obama for eight years."
"I would love to speak [with Mueller] but I have to find that we're going to be treated fairly," Trump added.
Among those who say Trump should not meet with Mueller is former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
During a recent appearance on the ABC News show "This Week," Christie said about Trump, "He should never walk into that room with Robert Mueller."
"One of the things that makes the president who he is, is that he's a salesman. And salesmen at times tend to be hyperbolic, and this president has certainly tended to be that. That's okay when you're...working on Congress. It is not okay when you're talking to federal agents because...false statements to federal agents, that's a crime, that can send you to jail," Christie continued.
