Here's a bitesize demo of a 'Demi-Plié' taken from The London Children's Ballet production of The Canterville Ghost performed in 2005.

Definition: A smooth and continuous bending of the knees outward directly above the line of the toes, with the upper body held upright. While maintaining turnout, without releasing the heels from the floor.
