Here's a bitesize demo of a 'Grand Battement' taken from The London Children's Ballet production of 'Ballet Shoes' performed in 2001.

Definition: A movement in which both legs are kept straight and the working leg is brushed outwards from the body - 90 degrees or higher and in again.
