Government officials visiting a public housing complex in Zamboanga city, Philippines, took a plunge into the water when a wooden footbridge collapsed during their April 26 tour of the government-funded residences.Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, Zamboanga City Representative Celso Lobregat, Negros Occidental Representative Abelardo Benitez, and several officials from the National Housing Authority were inspecting the Barangay Rio Hondo housing complex when the bridge collapsed.
