Severe Wind, Rain Slams Charlotte

Severe weather swept over central North Carolina on Sunday, April 15, prompting a ground stop of flights from Charlotte’s airport and the evacuation of the FAA tower there. Trees were reported down and power was out in some locations.This video was shot in the Steele Creek area, a few miles north of Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.
